We collect data to provide and improve our Apps' functionality. All data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless explicitly exported by you.

02How We Use Your Information
- Deliver core app functionality — e.g., voice transcription in EGK Insight AI V2T, ride tracking in RideLite AI, swing analysis in GolfSwingTrackerApp, AR visualisation in EGK MolecuLens AR.
- Generate insights and summaries — e.g., risk assessments in EGK RetainAI, financial charts in EGK Accounting Dashboard, game stats in EGK PicklePro AI.
- Support data export/import — e.g., JSON files in EGK Vendor & Customer Management, EGK Shipment Status Dash, EGK TestScript AI Studio.
- Provide local notifications — e.g., alerts in EGK RetainAI, chat responses in EGK IsaacBlue AI Bot — subject to device permissions.
- Improve app performance through local usage data analysis (e.g., debugging interaction logs).
03Storage & Sharing
- Storage: Data is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults (e.g., EGK IsaacBlue AI Bot), JSON files (e.g., EGK Vendor & Customer Management, EGK RetainAI), or HealthKit (e.g., RideLite AI, with consent). No data is sent to our servers.
- Sharing: We do not share your data with third parties, except as required by law or with your explicit consent (e.g., HealthKit data). Exported files are your responsibility.
- Retention: Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
✔ Local-First Architecture: EGK apps are built with a local-first data philosophy. Your data never leaves your device without your explicit action. No background syncing, no cloud profiling, and no data monetisation.
04Your Choices & Rights
- Permissions: Manage microphone, camera, location, HealthKit, motion, and notification permissions in your device's Settings app at any time.
- Data Deletion: Delete data within each app or via your file system for exported files.
- Opt-Out: Disable HealthKit, notifications, or other permissions in your device Settings to limit data collection at any time.
- PDPA Rights: Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of personal data we may hold. Contact us at sales@egkhor.com.my to exercise these rights.
05Security
We use Apple's built-in security features (e.g., local encryption, Keychain secure storage, Face ID / Touch ID) to protect your data. Where cloud backends are used (e.g., Supabase for EGK UnityRefuge, EGK FindMyFamily), data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest via AES-256.
Important: You are responsible for securing exported files. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and EGK cannot guarantee absolute security of data you export from the Apps.
06Third-Party Software
- Verilator (MIT Licence) — Used in EGK TestScript AI Studio for local Verilog simulation. No data is shared externally.
- xAI Grok API — Used in selected apps for AI-generated responses. Queries are transmitted to xAI's servers. Please refer to xAI's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — Used in EGK UnityRefuge, EGK FindMyFamily, EGK VolunteerCo as a backend database. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Google Forms (Google LLC) — Used for Android APK request submissions. Data is handled under Google's privacy infrastructure and Malaysia's PDPA.
- Apple HealthKit — Health metrics are synced only with your explicit authorisation. Apple's privacy rules govern HealthKit data.
07Children's Privacy
Our Apps are designed for users aged 10 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If in-app purchases or external links are added to any EGK app, a parental gate will be implemented to restrict access for younger users. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us immediately at sales@egkhor.com.my.
08Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Apps, business practices, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of our Apps after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
