EGK Microelectronic Solutions Group Sdn. Bhd. ("EGK", "we", "us" or "our") develops and operates software, educational platforms, engineering tools, websites and other technology products.
This Privacy Policy describes the general privacy practices applicable to EGK digital services. Individual applications may have additional notices, permission prompts or service-specific terms where their functionality requires different data handling.
02Information we may handle
The information handled depends on the particular EGK product and the features you choose to use. Examples include:

03How information is used
- To provide the functionality you request, such as AI responses, AR visualisation, navigation, calculations, education features or document generation.
- To save and restore information where the application provides local storage, export or import functions.
- To process support enquiries, product requests, submissions and communications that you voluntarily initiate.
- To operate selected cloud-backed or API-connected functions where those services are part of the product architecture.
- To maintain security, diagnose technical problems and improve reliability.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
04When information may leave your device
Information can leave the device when the product functionality requires it or when you choose to transmit/export it. Examples include:
- AI/API services: selected applications may send prompts or other content to an external AI provider to generate a response.
- Cloud backends: selected applications use backend infrastructure for accounts, synchronisation or collaborative features.
- Quantum computing: quantum workloads may be submitted to an external quantum-computing provider when that function is selected.
- Forms and support: information submitted through a third-party form or communication service is processed by that provider according to its own policies.
- User export/share: when you deliberately export a file, email information, use WhatsApp, or otherwise share content, the destination provider's terms and privacy policy also apply.
05Storage & retention
Where an application is designed for local storage, information may remain on the device using platform storage mechanisms such as app storage, local files, secure storage or equivalent facilities. Retention then generally depends on the application's deletion and reset functions and the user's device settings.
Where a cloud or external service is used, retention is governed by the relevant architecture, service configuration and applicable provider terms. EGK will not claim a universal retention period across every application because the products do not all use the same data architecture.
06Your choices & privacy rights
- Control permissions such as camera, microphone, location, notifications and health data through your device's privacy controls.
- Delete locally stored information using the application's available deletion/reset controls or by removing the application where appropriate.
- Request access to, correction of, or other applicable rights concerning personal information that EGK actually holds, subject to applicable law and reasonable verification requirements.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to any consequences explained at the time of withdrawal.

07Security
EGK uses reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the product and the information involved. Depending on the platform and architecture, this can include operating-system security controls, secure local storage, access controls and encryption in transit or at rest where supported by the service.
Because EGK operates products across different platforms and architectures, security controls are not identical for every application. No electronic system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
08Children & younger users
Some EGK products are educational or may be suitable for younger users. Age suitability and data handling can differ by application. Where an application is directed to children or collects personal information from younger users, EGK will apply the safeguards required by applicable law and the platform rules relevant to that product.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information to EGK in circumstances where it should not have been collected may contact us so that the matter can be reviewed.
09Third-party services
Selected EGK products may integrate third-party technologies. The exact provider depends on the application and may change as products evolve.

Third-party providers maintain their own privacy policies. Where a product sends information to a third party, users should review that provider's policy as well as this one.
10Changes to this policy
EGK may update this Privacy Policy when our products, data practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy is revised.
Where a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, EGK will take the steps required by that law.

Does every EGK app store data only on the device?
No. Many EGK applications are designed around local processing/storage, but some products use APIs, cloud backends, forms or external computing services. This policy deliberately distinguishes local-first products from connected services.
Does EGK sell personal information?
EGK does not sell personal information to data brokers or advertising platforms as a commercial business model.
Does EGK use Apple Health data?
